Bancamiga takes baseball from the Venezuelan capital
Supporting Leones y Tiburones in the 2024-2025 LVBP season reaffirms Bancamiga's commitment to sport and the country's main pastime
With four months left until the start of the season of the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League, Bancamiga announced that it will be a sponsor of the champion team Tiburones de La Guaira and the Leones del Caracas.
Already in the 2023-2024 season, Bancamiga accompanied the Leones, who were fighting until the last games for the possibility of moving to the decisive round and defending their 21st LVBP title, which in the end was not possible.
This support allowed Bancamiga to be with the brand on the long-haired uniform, in the Simón Bolívar Monumental Stadium with advertising, activations, initial launch, contests, with the Bancamiga Cup and the development of a bracelet that makes it easier for Leones subscribers to entry and the purchase of drinks, meals and snacks at the stadium.
For the 2024-2025 season, Bancamiga adds its support to Tiburones, which under the aegis of Oswaldo “Ozzie” Guillén, achieved its first championship since the 1985-86 season and the eighth in its history, by defeating the Cardenales in the final from Lara. The escualo team also ended the 15-year drought without Venezuela winning a Caribbean Series title, by beating the Tigres del Licey, from the Dominican Republic, in the final.
Bancamiga will accentuate its presence with Lions and Sharks
The executive president of Bancamiga Banco Universal, Ariel José Martínez, expressed that during the last three years, Bancamiga has deployed intense brand positioning in the stadiums of Caracas and the interior of the country to bring Venezuelans closer to its innovative products and services.
“We are going to accentuate our presence in Caracas and we are going to do it hand in hand with the two teams that represent the modern rivalry of our baseball. “Every game between the Lions and Sharks is loaded with emotion and keeps the fans interested until the last out,” he said.
He recalled that through Bancamiga Móvil in the Universitario and Monumental, the bank has opened accounts in bolivars and foreign currency, set up points of sale and delivered the Debit Card, which allows making online purchases and paying both in the country and abroad.
Supporting Lions and Tiburones reaffirms the bank’s commitment to sports, an element that unites friends, family and all Venezuelans. “With our financial solutions and with support for sectors such as sports, we are sure that we will build a better country,” Martínez said.
