Bancamiga joined the efforts of the “Proyecto de Paisajismo del Parque del Este Generalísimo Francisco de Miranda”, which seeks to enhance the majesty of the national flora, through the reforestation of this important place.

The project contemplates replacing, in the Gran 8 area and its adjacencies, a total of 135 native trees such as chaguaramos, date palms, fan palms, samanes, araguaneyes, linnets, apamates, among other varieties, in the spaces designed by the landscaper and Brazilian architect Roberto Burle Marx (1909-1994), in keeping with the original design of the park.

Hand in hand and together with their families, the Bancamiga volunteer collaborators joined (on Saturday, August 12) the park staff to plant large trees, in a special day of replanting.

Carmelo De Grazia, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bancamiga Banco Universal, assured that social responsibility is part of the planning and strategies of financial activity, in order to generate value and have a positive impact on the economic, social and environmental dimensions.

“For us, it is key to promote the growth of the country and promote the values that make us better human beings, contributing to essential sectors such as education, culture, entrepreneurship, sports and, especially, care for the environment to guarantee the future of the new generations,” he said.
