Bancamiga continues to support the health of Venezuelans with a donation to the Domingo Luciani Hospital
The donation is part of Bancamiga's corporate social responsibility policy, which seeks to contribute to the development of the country through investment in strategic areas such as health
Bancamiga continues to strengthen its social commitment to Venezuelans, strengthening the care services of the Doctor Domingo Luciani Hospital, with the delivery of radiation protection equipment that will help mitigate the effects of radiation and provide a better quality of life to the medical staff and patients of this healthcare center.
This action is part of Bancamiga’s corporate social responsibility policy, which seeks to contribute to the country’s development through investment in strategic areas such as health. The donated equipment will allow the institution’s medical professionals to perform their work in a safer and more efficient manner, also benefiting a large number of patients.
The president of the Board of Directors of Bancamiga Banco Universal, José Simón Elarba, said that this is the third donation this year that the bank has made to the Doctor Domingo Luciani Hospital, “to contribute to a work as beautiful as the one we see here. This is a hospital that is one hundred percent restored and operational and offers quality service. It is a real pleasure to be able to contribute” to this institution.
“We want to thank the entire Bancamiga team, who have made it possible for us to receive radiation protection equipment for the staff of the Venezuelan Social Security Institute (IVSS), based at Domingo Luciani,” said Maurilina Guzmán, General Director of Health at IVSS.
Since 2023, Bancamiga has contributed to the hospital center
Dr. Guzmán also commented that the equipment received will allow the doctors at the “Dra. María Teresa de Jesús M” Pain Clinic located in the aforementioned hospital to be protected, and will also be used to perform medium and high complexity surgical interventions, as well as in radiology and postgraduate services.
The accessories and equipment donated include 42 lead pieces including gonads and thyroid protectors, bib holders, dress bib and skirt bib, gloves, x-ray face masks and various types of lenses.
Since 2023, Bancamiga has contributed to the hospital center in its conditioning projects to increase the number of patients treated. Likewise, it has made a total of five donations of medical equipment to strengthen and increase the effectiveness of surgical interventions.
