ASUS launches new 880 gram ExpertBoook B9 laptop

The computer has similar features to its predecessor last year but adds the 11th generation Intel Core processor

ASUS launches a new generation of the ExpertBook B9, an 880 gram professional laptop that the company claims as “the world’s lightest” among 14-inch notebooks, specializing in its portability and strength for a professional audience.

According to a statement sent by the company, the computer has characteristics similar to those of its predecessor last year, but adds the 11th generation Intel Core processor, Intel Iris Xe integrated graphics, RAID 0 and RAID 1 support, Thunderbolt 4 interface , AdaptiveLock proximity sensor for faster and more secure logins and AI noise cancellation.

ExpertBook B9 stands out for its reduced weight of 880 grams, with a chassis that adheres to the US military resistance standard MIL-STD-810H. It also has a larger version of 1,005 grams with some improved options. Standard equipment is Energy Star 7.1 and EPEAT Gold rated for energy efficiency.

Battery life is close to a full day under normal use. It has a fast charge mode that allows the computer to reach 60 % battery in 39 minutes. Its larger version has a 66 Wh battery (against 33 Wh for the normal one) that lasts almost a whole day.

Supports USB4, dual 4K monitors, and fast device charging; includes USB Type-A outputs, standard HDMI, and wired network connectivity with a unique MAC address “making device management easy.”
