Apple could include an artificial intelligence camera in its upcoming smartwatch models to provide details about the user’s surroundings.
With this, the new Apple Watch would be able to offer more options to the wearer of each device. The company has added that it is seeking to improve the product’s compatibility with other Apple Watches “thanks to visual intelligence and boost it in the AI (Artificial Intelligence) wearables market.”
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has detailed that the Visual Intelligence feature is linked to the Camera Control interface. “This way, holding down the camera button will access an interface where you can take a photo and analyze it with ChatGPT or Google Search.”
But this innovation could take time to reach the market, although Apple is considering adding these lenses to both the standard watches (Series) and the more advanced models (Ultra).
The camera’s location could vary. For now, the company aims to place it “inside the screen on the Series version, while the Ultra will have it on the side,” near the crown and the button.
