Apple bets on the streaming service for music

The company Apple will no longer manufacture the iPod, but will continue betting on music with streaming services on its mobile devices

The Apple company will continue betting on music through the integration of its streaming service in its mobile devices, although the company announced that it will stop manufacturing its iPod player models.

In a statement, the company explained that the development and demand for Apple Music streaming music services and devices such as iPhone or Apple Watch displaced the device in the market.

As you may recall, for many years the iPod was one of the main products in the Cupertino company’s inventory. However, they pointed out that the iPod touch model can be purchased until the market runs out of stock.

In October 2021, the first iPod was launched on the market, and it was the first MP3 player with a capacity for a thousand songs and an autonomy of ten hours. Today, Apple Music allows access to more than 90 million songs and more than 30,000 playlists.

At the time, the iPod revolutionized the music industry and impacted millions of people. According to Greg Joswiak, Apple’s senior vice president of worldwide marketing, this device has redefined the way music is discovered, listened to, and shared.
