The companies Amazon and Meta, together with Twitter, canceled their face-to-face participation in the CES 2022 event due to the outbreak of the omicron variant of Covid-19.
According to these companies, they will not be present at this world fair, other than in the 2022 edition, which will take place in Las Vegas (United States) from January 5 to 8.
Each of them argued that their absence is due to the number of infections that have been reported from the omicron variant.
From Amazon they point out that the situation “is changing and intermittent around the omicron variant”, which is why they also discarded their invitation to this convention in the face-to-face format.
The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is the largest technology fair in the world which includes the presence of large companies such as those mentioned above, and others such as T-Mobile, Microsoft, among others.
