57% of HR managers fear losing their job to AI

Despite this, many of those in charge of human resources highlighted the importance of AI

Human Resources (HR) managers see the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) to revolutionize this department and make companies more efficient, despite the fact that 57 % worry that they will lose their job due to this task automation.

69 % of managers think that HR departments will be more important to their business in the future, and even 70% of HR managers believe that AI and automation present an opportunity to free up time, Be more strategic and focus on supporting companies with long-term goals.

These data come from the latest survey by Personio, a Human Resources software company, which collects responses from 250 high-level executives and 500 Human Resources managers from SMEs in Spain.

64 % of business leaders intend to incorporate more AI and automation into their HR function in the next five years. And, in light of recent technological advances with generative AI like ChatGPT, a similar number (58%) even believe that most HR tasks will be able to be taken over by AI in the future.

In Personio, however, they point out that “these strong statements about the future of Human Resources may be a symptom of a basic misunderstanding of the value that these teams bring to organizations.”

In this sense, the survey revealed a knowledge gap: 63% of business leaders admitted that they would like to have a better understanding of what their HR team does.
