Starlink improves its services with a premium antenna

The Internet company, owned by Elon Musk, announced the inclusion of a premium antenna to offer a faster connection

Starlink, the Internet satellite network of the SpaceX division, presented the premium antenna which enables a faster connection and better performance compared to the antenna previously available in this service.

This device is larger than the antenna available in the standard Starlink plan, since it has been designed for users who demand a high-performance Internet connection, such as small offices with between 10 and 20 workers, stores or residential areas.

The company ensures that with it it offers download speeds of 150 to 500 Mbps and latency of 20 to 40 ms, as indicated on the web. The plan so far available allows access to variable data speeds from 50Mb/s to 150Mb/s.

This new premium plan admits reservations in the United States for distribution in the second quarter of the year. Like the standard, it requires an installation kit, that is, a user terminal, a WiFi router and an antenna with which to connect to the satellite network.
