Mastercard adds 6 blockchain payments startups

The company welcomes six companies to its Mastercard Start Path accelerator program

The payments giant, Mastercard, has announced the integration of 6 blockchain payments startups to its Mastercard Start Path accelerator program, which have been described by the company as “fintech innovators”.

Among the prominent companies that will have access to blockchain technology, as well as the expertise and resources offered by Mastercard are: Asante Financial Services, Cledara, Jifti, Moeda Seeds, SpendDebt and Tippy.

“As the fintech landscape evolves at unprecedented speed, Mastercard provides the infrastructure and assets to help fintech innovators grow and ultimately attract more people to the digital economy,” reported Amy Neale, senior vice president of financial technology and enablers at Mastercard.

Neale stated: “The newest Start Path companies represent the future of the fintech industry and are designing inclusive solutions that anticipate consumer needs; we are delighted to partner with these innovators on their development journey.”

It is important to mention that the payment company has established the Start Path accelerator program in order to serve as a driver for all those emerging companies to continue advancing in financial growth as well as in the commercialization of their products.
