Facebook announces F8 developers event

The social network announced that it will celebrate its annual developers event, but in a single day and digitally

Facebook decided to resume the annual developer event, known as the F8, for next June 2 in a single day and digitally.

The technology company decided to “return F8 to its roots”, as noted by the vice president of platform associations, Konstantinos Papamiltiadis, in a post on the official blog.

The event will take place this year with a new format, which they have called ‘F8 Refresh’: a single day, on June 2, and with a virtual stage and live broadcasts through the Facebook page for Developers on the social network .

The intention of the company is to “recognize” the work of the Facebook Community, which in the last year “allowed the growth of companies of all sizes to adapt to a changed world and accelerate their digital transformation,” explained Papamiltiadis.

‘F8 Refresh’ will host the novelties in ‘software’ developed by the company for its different services, as well as technical sessions, demonstrations and conferences.
