Venezuela reaches coffee production levels of 25 years ago

The country projects a harvest of 1,800,000 quintals of coffee for the 2026-2027 cycle, after reaching a production level not seen in 25 years, according to data from the Confederation of Agricultural Producers Associations of Venezuela (Fedeagro)

Venezuela has left behind the coffee production crisis of 2020, according to the executive director of the Confederation of Agricultural Producers Associations of Venezuela (Fedeagro), Vicente Pérez, and has recovered production levels not seen in 25 years.

According to the union leader, the country projects a harvest of 1,800,000 quintals for the 2026-2027 cycle, “matching the sector’s records from the beginning of the 21st century.”

This recovery is the result of years of continuous investment in agriculture by producers, in addition to the implementation of improved economic policies.

Pérez emphasized that the rebound in coffee harvest volume “will guarantee domestic consumption” and allow for a continued gradual increase in the percentage of quintals destined for export.
