Caracas will host the Venezuela International Oil and Gas Summit (VIOGS) 2026, from September 28-30. The agenda will focus on attracting investment in the energy sector, restoring capacity, and opportunities to boost the country's growth
The city of Caracas will host the Venezuela International Oil and Gas Summit (VIOGS) from September 28-30, with the participation of government entities, national and international oil companies, investors, LNG companies, service providers, contractors, and policymakers from Latin America, as well as representatives of the global energy market.
The agenda includes crucial topics to boost the country’s development and contribute to the growth of the global energy sector, such as restoring production capacity and monetizing gas. New business, operational, and investment opportunities, investments, long-term energy growth, among other topics, will be discussed.
The event will feature discussion groups analyzing “the upstream sector recovery, investment frameworks, opportunities in LNG and regional gas, infrastructure priorities, operational execution, and cross-border collaboration.”
With the organization of this event, “Venezuela is once again capturing international attention as regulatory evolution, renewed commitment, and infrastructure rehabilitation begin to transform the market landscape.”
The South American country has the world’s largest proven oil reserves and significant untapped gas potential. The summit represents “a high-level platform focused on execution, partnership development, and market re-entry strategies.”
