To promote banking services in Puerto Ayacucho, Amazonas state, Bancamiga carried out an operation that integrated 477 transportation workers into the financial system, consolidating significant progress in financial inclusion and the entity’s commercial modernization.
This strategic action was achieved through joint work and coordinated planning between the Commercial Banking Department and the bank’s Mass Account Factory.
During a continuous four-day operation, the initiative also successfully integrated 41 individuals who now enjoy the modern products and services offered by the institution in both bolivars and foreign currency.
The incorporation of the transportation sector into the banking ecosystem represents substantial operational progress, as it facilitates the transition to digital payment methods, increases the security of fund management, and streamlines daily transactions for hundreds of transportation users in the region.
Movi by Bancamiga is an innovative service that seeks to transform the traditional public transportation fare payment system through a contactless digital solution. It connects users, transportation providers, and payment processors within a secure and efficient ecosystem, utilizing various payment methods.
This channel is available as a downloadable application from the main mobile app stores, ensuring easy access for all users. Currently, public transportation units integrated with Movi by Bancamiga cover urban routes in Greater Caracas, the Altos Mirandinos region, and eastern Venezuela. Soon, the service will be extended to other routes, modernizing Venezuelan transportation with technology accessible to everyone.
This large-scale, specialized service was delivered through the Mobile Unit, designed to overcome geographical limitations and bring the bank’s services directly to the communities.
During the outreach events, the bank ensured the rapid opening of accounts, the immediate delivery of physical payment instruments, and direct enrollment in the institution’s electronic channels, allowing new clients to operate immediately.
The adoption of these technological tools by the Amazonian population acts as a catalyst for local commerce, providing modern payment alternatives to sectors that required financial modernization.
The financial institution described the event as a fundamental step toward local economic development in the south of the country. It also reaffirmed its institutional commitment to schedule future visits to guarantee the continuity, commercial support, and expansion of its financial solutions in the state of Amazonas.
