Venezuela and Brazil lay the groundwork for a bilateral roadmap
Venezuelan Foreign Minister Félix Plasencia and his Brazilian counterpart, Mauro Vieira, spoke by telephone last Wednesday to discuss bilateral cooperation and strengthen diplomatic ties between the two countries
During a telephone conversation on Wednesday, August 12, between Venezuelan Foreign Minister Félix Plasencia and his Brazilian counterpart, Mauro Vieira, both officials discussed resuming bilateral cooperation.
Plasencia and Vieira talked about Brazil’s humanitarian assistance to Venezuela following the earthquakes of June 24, as well as the possible visit of the Brazilian Foreign Minister in the coming months.
The Venezuelan Foreign Minister indicated that “the proposal for a future visit was received positively by Vieira, with the objective of designing a bilateral roadmap to deepen cooperation between the two countries, which share a border of more than 2,000 kilometers.”
Both foreign ministers agreed on “the importance of exchanging experiences in the training of diplomatic officials.”
