Nintendo announced that sales of its Nintendo Switch 2 console reached 10.36 million units in five months, solidifying its position as the best-selling console since its launch.
According to the company, the predecessor to this console took almost twice as long to sell 10 million units. With this recently revealed figure, Nintendo also confirms the increase in software sales for the latest console, which have reached 20.62 million units in just five months. “This means that, on average, each buyer of this console has purchased two games.”
Regarding this, it is known that the best-selling game is Mario Kart World, “which was the console’s big launch exclusive, with 9.57 million units sold.” Donkey Kong also sold 3.49 million units between July and September.
With these very positive results, Nintendo is preparing to revise its sales forecasts, with an “estimate of 15 million Nintendo Switch 2 units sold in the current fiscal year to 19 million units during the console’s first year.”
