Nine Venezuelan universities are among the best in Latin America and the Caribbean

The QS World University Rankings Latin America & the Caribbean includes five public and four private universities from Venezuela in its ranking, published on October 1

Nine Venezuelan universities, five public and four private, are included in the QS World University Rankings Latin America & The Caribbean, published on Wednesday, October 1.

The public institutions that appear in the ranking are Universidad Central de Venezuela (UCV), Simón Bolívar (USB), Los Andes (ULA), Zulia (LUZ), and Carabobo (UC); The private universities are Andrés Bello Catholic University (UCAB), Metropolitan University (UM), Rafael Belloso Chacín University (URBC), and the Technological University of the Center (UNITEC).

The parameters taken into account by the QS World University Rankings in evaluating these higher education institutions globally include “academic reputation, research quality, graduate employability, learning experience, international commitment, and sustainability.”

In the case of Venezuela, the nine universities featured in this ranking “are part of an ecosystem of 175 university institutions” where quality education is provided to more than 2.5 million students.
