Peruvian President Dina Boluarte announced new projects, trade agreements, and economic measures
Peruvian President Dina Boluarte addressed the nation on the occasion of the National Holidays this July to discuss projects, agreements, and measures in her final year of office, taking into account that the country will hold presidential elections in June 2026.
Boluarte promised to reduce labor informality to 50 %, award contracts for 30 projects worth over $8.2 billion, and complete key highways. She also mentioned important “trade agreements with India, Uruguay, and El Salvador” and the construction of the Siete Regiones natural gas project, among others.
Not to be left out were promises to complete all provincial road projects near the new Jorge Chávez Airport, the Santa Rosa viaduct, and bridge by 2028.
During his final year as president, Boluarte will award millions of dollars to sectors such as “sanitation, health, education, transportation, energy, tourism, and urban infrastructure.”
Added to this are four “strategic agendas in transportation, natural gas, and health for approximately US$2.5 billion additional.” Next year, 48 projects will be awarded for more than $9.1 billion, and in 2027, “she plans to complete at least 10 projects that will mobilize more than $10.2 billion in additional investment.”
