YouTube tests new feature fon comments

The online video platform wants to add the option to hide what users write automatically, that is, by default

YouTube is testing a new feature by which the comments of the videos in their ‘app’ for Android would appear hidden by default, so that the user has to click specifically on “see comments” to read them.

Android users could be affected by the new feature that YouTube is testing, according to XDA Developers, but now the comments appear below the list of related videos.

With the change, when doing scroll and pass all thumbnails of recommended videos, the comments would no longer appear. Instead, the option “Are you looking for comments? Click here” that would take the user to the top, where he would find a “Comments” button.

This new Comments button would be placed on the recommended content section, right at the bottom of the video that is being viewed, next to the I do not like and Share buttons. When clicking on “é”, the comments would be displayed below the video.

As a consequence, this would move the “View later” option to the location of the functions that are displayed when clicking on the arrow to see the description of the video.
