Xzavyer Narváez, originally from California, will be tried for stealing at least 157 bitcoins, equivalent to one million dollars

A young man of only 19 years was arrested by the police of California, United States, for the crimes of theft and use of cryptocurrencies.

The man identified as Xzvyer Narváez, who resided in the town of Santa Clara, used the stolen electronic money to purchase a McLaren 2018 car.

The police explained that between March 12 and July 12, the account of Narváez showed a movement of 157 bitcoins (one million dollars) so the authorities were alerted and started the investigations.

The investigation finally showed that the American used the “port-out” method, which consists of a SIM Card swapping. In this case, criminals proceed to deceive the telephone company to request a new card.

Most of the funds stolen by Narváez were used to buy sports cars, because in addition to the McLaren, he bought a 2012 Audi R8 with bitcoins in June of last year.
