Windows Office Online changes its name
The tech giant announced that the online version will simply be called Office. It will be available for mobile devices through Android or iOS, as well as desktops such as MAC or Windows PCs
The Office Online web version of Windows will simply be called Office, after the technology giant applies its new marketing strategy for the series products such as Office 365 and Office 2019.
Through the official Microsoft blog the brand announced that because the Office office package is given on several platforms, the “secondary brand” cannot be accessed. This has led to the decision that the Office Online line and its products be renamed Office, Excel, Word instead of Word Online or Excel Online.
With this measure, the managers of the company seek to provide users with a first level experience. On the other hand, they have announced that they will continue with the updates at the marketing level for the rest of their products in the future.
“The tool is available on all platforms, for mobile devices through Android or iOS, and also on desktops such as MAC or Windows PCs obviously,” they have indicated from Microsoft.
Users do not require a license to access these Office products on the web, which represents a great advantage when compared to Microsoft Office or others such as Office 365.
Another positive aspect is that the client does not need any additional plugin or tool to install the tool, it only requires an Internet connection to manage their office files easily.
