WhatsApp updates the list of smartphones where it will stop working

The social messaging network announced the versions for Android and iOS where the platform will not provide its service shortly

Communication through social networks is highly supportive at present, amidst the social isolation that has exacerbated the Covid-19 pandemic. WhatsApp is the main messaging tool in this scenario.

However, the popular application recently released the updated list of smartphone and iPhone operating systems in which it will not be updated.

This means that thousands of users around the world will not have WhatsApp on their mobile phones on both iOS and Android. This is not a new measure, as information has been published in this regard for some time.

According to the statement, the minimum versions required to have WhatsApp are: Android operating system 4.0.3 or later and on iPhone with iOS 9 or later. “Some phone models with KaiOS 2.5.1 or later operating system, as well as JioPhone and JioPhone 2 devices” are also included.

It is understood that on iPhone and Android phones whose operating system is earlier than those specified above, WhatsApp will stop working correctly or permanently.
