WhatsApp limits messages forwarding

From the social network it has been announced that users will only be able to send the message to a maximum of 5 conversations at a time

False news have become a serious problem for WhatsApp and the application wants to set limits. Until now, users could send a same message up to 20 conversations, but now this fubction is reduced to 5 chats.

The new cap comes with the existing restriction in India since last July. The decision made in the Asian country has been a success and therefore extends to the rest of the countries where the application operates.

Although parameters have been established, this does not mean that messages can not be forwarded, but that it will be more complex to do it en masse. When a conversation is forwarded, the corresponding mark continue to appear next to the message, indicating that the text or image does not come from it.

On the other hand, if the user wants to forward a message to his contacts, the platform will send a warning indicating that it can not be shared with more than 5 conversations.

With the implementation of the measure WhatsApp seeks to make its platform more credible and free of false news. In addition, they want the user to be more comfortable with it and spend more time interacting with companies through the tool.
