WhatsApp launches the option to mute a group forever

The beta version of the instant messaging application already has this functionality available

The latest beta version of the WhatsApp messaging application includes a new function that allows groups to be silenced forever, as well as a new storage use, and verified business accounts no longer have the option to call in chats.

At the end of July, the company was working to develop and improve the function that would allow to silence a group forever, and now it is already available in the latest beta version of the ‘app’ for devices with Android operating system (v2.20.201.10 ).

Users can now choose to silence the groups for eight hours, a week or a year, and in the latest WhatsApp beta, the one-year option is replaced by ‘Always’.

In the latest beta version, WhatsApp also hides voice call and video call options in chats with verified business accounts.

However, this option is still available when selecting the profile icon in chat and in the contact list.

With beta version 2.20.201.10 several users have received the new storage usage interface and its tools, which helps users free up space on devices.

Finally, WhatsApp will add a function called ‘Media Guidelines’ for the users to easily align stickers and text when editing images, videos and GIFs.
