Whatsapp incorporates Wuabit cryptowallet

The wallet will work as one more contact, added to the user's list and will support bitcoin, ethereum, litecoin and bitcoin cash

The beta version of a new cryptocurrency wallet for the WhatsApp instant messaging platform was recently launched by the Wuabit startup. It holds the same name, Wuabit, and supports bitcoin, ethereum, litecoin and bitcoin cash.

Manuel Polo, founder and CTO of the Wuabit startup, indicated that they are working to soon have the beta version for other platforms such as Telegram, Facebook Messenger and Viber. He also added that in the short term, cryptocurrency exchanges could be made.

The startup is very well positioned in the crypto ecosystem and holds licenses to offer digital currency exchange with fiat currency.

The operation of the wallet will be like one more contact to the WhatsApp user’s calendar, under the modality of assistant or automatic application. By adding it, the client has instant access to cryptoactive services.

It is possible to use Wuabit through SMS messages or other messaging platform. The users will have the option of micropayments with the main current cryptocurrencies.

Polo has stressed that the security of transactions is guaranteed through encrypted communications for the exchange of data between the user and Wuabit. In addition, it has a second authentication factor to add trusted contacts and confirm operations.
