The goal is that researchers can meet to develop more uses for this technology, as reported by the local press this week.
It is not the first time that this region is related to blockchain technology since in the past cryptocurrency miners were attracted by several counties in Washington because of the economic nature of the hydroelectric industry.
For the creation of this center, the County Department of Commerce announced that it will contribute $ 50,000 in a grant.
Lisa Parks, executive director of Port of Douglas County, assured that in the region there are different assets that make “unique to our region” and that also make it “attractive for the industry“.
