WannaMine, the virus that mines cryptocurrencies

The web security company Panda Security discovered a new virus, called WannaMine, that infects computers to mine cryptocurrencies without the knowledge of the user.

The cybernetic infection uses the NSA EternalBlue exploit, in addition to another system, to enter computers ignoring the patches that stop these threats.

According to the report issued by the company, the virus can enter in different ways, from an email, a malicious link, or through remote access by hackers.

This virus goes unnoticed in the computer, that is why, the victim will not notice the infection unless the operating system manifests slowness.
