Venezuelan department store will accept payments in cryptocurrencies

Traki, one of the largest chain of stores in Venezuela, will accept payments in cryptocurrencies through the Cryptobuyer service provider

Traki, the current largest department store in Venezuela, announced that it will accept payments in bitcoin, dash and litecoin from this week thanks to the association with the payment service in this modality of Cryptobuyer.

In the statement, the retail chain indicated that the branch located in the El Recreo Shopping Center in Caracas, in Casanova Avenue, Sabana Grande, customers can cancel through the CBPAY payment system.

“The merchant has a point of sale designed by the company through which it may receive the respective transactions with any of the aforementioned cryptocurrencies.”

Although the modality of payment with the digital currencies was activated only in the branch of the mentioned zone of the capital, Traki has plans to extend it to the rest of the 48 stores in the Venezuelan territory in the coming weeks.

Undoubtedly, payment with cryptocurrencies is a positive alternative for Venezuelans who currently have difficulty obtaining cash in bank agencies, have a low limit on their credit cards or simply face the devaluation of the bolivar, the national currency.
