Venezuela will have ATMs in dollars

The AKB Fintech company announced that as of November 7, Caracas, Barquisimeto and Valencia will have these devices that will dispense at least $ 200 a day

The president of AKB Fintech, Guillermo Scarpantonio, announced that Venezuela will have ATMs starting in November that will dispense dollars in cash.

As Scarpantonio commented, the first devices will be located in Caracas, Valencia and Barquisimeto and it is estimated that each one (three in total) will dispense up to 200 dollars.

AKB Fintech is an operator that is dedicated to operating between businesses, so that they can be banked internationally and better manage their dollars in cash.

“This is new. It is an ATM that will not work with a conventional debit or credit card. It is a virtual card that the platform generates, which is a card that you will be able to have on your cell phone, with a single code to use it, and it will have your identification and the amount you are going to withdraw. You put it in the ATM and it will dispense your money,” said the president of the firm.

He said that the maximum daily withdrawal will be $ 200, minimum of $ 20, in bills of 5, 10 and 20 dollars. Scarpantonio pointed out that there is no position from Sudeban or the Central Bank of Venezuela about this. “This is a technological process that is not regulated by a specific law. These ATMs are owned by those who have them in their establishment,” he clarified.
