Venezuela is out of the World Bank growth list

The institution made changes in its forecasts made in January 2019, reducing the percentage of Latin America and the Caribbean to 2.6%

The World Bank removed Venezuela from the list of countries that could show economic growth during 2019.

The persistent commercial tensions, the restlessness in the financial markets and a marked deceleration beyond the predicted index in several advanced economies took to the World Bank to cut on Tuesday its world growth forecast.

The institution said that these indicators will decelerate 2.6% this year, about 0.3 points below the forecast in January.

Despite this, the institution expects the growth of the rest of Latin America and the Caribbean to be 1.7% during 2019, a cut of 2.1% that had been expected at the beginning of the year.

However, the United States does not enter into the changes made by the World Bank with respect to the new growth forecasts, projecting an expansion of 2.5% this year but drastically cutting those of the euro zone, to 1.2%, a reduction of 0.4 points.
