Venezuela expects to produce eight million tons of cement by 2026
Total cement production in 2026 could reach eight million tons, according to the Socialist Cement Corporation
The Secretary General of the Bolivarian Cement Federation, José Vale, stated on Friday, October 31, in an interview on the program “Al Aire,” that the country aims to increase production to eight million tons by 2026.
Vale emphasized that the reactivation of industrial plants such as Pertigalete, Ocumare in Miranda state, Cerro Azul in Monagas state, and Cemento Andino in Trujillo state was achieved through the efforts of the workers, an initiative aimed at guaranteeing 24-hour production.
The official highlighted the partnerships with the Ministry of National Industry. He also pointed out that the Workers’ Productive Councils play a very important role.
Regarding Communal Power, Vale indicated that the connection with community hardware stores will be key for the people and reiterated that the cement produced by the Corporation “must guarantee the State’s housing policies and for State works that are of social interest.”
