Venezuela appoints new superintendent of cryptoactives

Joselit Ramírez will be in charge of the National Superintendence of Cryptoactives and Related Activities

Venezuelan Superintendence of Cryptoactives has appointed Joselit Ramírez as the new director. He replaces Carlos Vargas, who held the position for six months. The entity was created according to Decree No. 3.196 of the Official Gazette of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela No. 6,346, of December 8, 2017.

In order to protect and defend the rights of Venezuelans, in addition to positioning the Petro, the national cryptocurrency, the Superintendence works hand in hand with the judicial system and banking throughout the territory. The new director joins this fight that maintains the National Executive.

The announcement where Ramírez is appointed to the front of the organization was made by the outgoing director through his Twitter account, @SupCarlosV. He also indicated that the designation will be made official once it is published in the Official Gazette.

Joselit Ramírez Camacho served as general director of the Vice Presidency of the Republic together with Tareck El Aissami. He also served as president of the Venezuelan Federation of Criminologists (Fevecrim); He held the position of secretary of the board and was director of the Citizen’s Attention Bureau of the state of Aragua.

The new superintendent showed through his Twitter account, @JoselitRamirez, his commitment to the continuity of the State’s policies on cryptocurrencies, the Petro and all the initiatives to guide the nation towards economic development.
