US trade deficit grows 2.9% according to official reports

According to figures published by the Census Bureau and the Office of Economic Analysis there occurred an increase in July to reach $ 53,989 million

The US trade balance recorded a trade deficit of $ 53.989 million in July, equivalent to an increase of 2.9% over the result of the seventh month of last year, according to data published on Wednesday by the Office of the Census and the Office of Economic Analysis of the North American country.

Specifically, exports of goods and services from the United States stood at 207,401 million dollars, 0.6% less, while imports remained practically stable, reaching 261,391 million dollars.

Before the result of the trade balance between January and June, the deficit rose by 8.2%, reaching 373,796 million dollars.

By regions and countries, the United States registered in July a surplus in the trade of goods of 3,700 million dollars with Latin America, 2,400 million dollars with Hong Kong and 700 million dollars with Brazil.

On the contrary, the United States accounted for a deficit of 29.6 billion dollars with China, 15.9 billion dollars with the European Union, 8.9 billion dollars with Mexico and 5.9 billion dollars with Japan.
