Uphold to launch a crypto payment platform for Venezuelans
This initiative will be possible thanks to a recent strategic alliance with the application Agil Fintech
Venezuelans have shown their preferences towards cryptocurrencies. Additionally, digital assets have become their allies for transactions such as sending remittances.
Thanks to a recent alliance between Uphold platform and the app Agil Fintech, Venezuelan clients will count on a new alternative for payments with dollars and euros that they will be able to support with bitcoin savings.
According to Robin O’Connell, manager in chief of incomes for Uphold, the merchants in the country will receive the payments in currency through a QR scanning system from the Agil app. In this way, transactions will be made in a rapid, safe and trustful way.
O’Connell added that each payment of the customers will be financed from Venezuela with bitcoin, the most important cryptocurrency in the market, as well as other digital assets authorized by Uphold.
