University of Alicante started blockchain workshop

The authorities of the Spanish house of studies indicated that the induction has begun with respect to the application of this technology in the public administration

The authorities of the University of Alicante, Spain, informed that this Friday will begin the inductions for the application of blockchain technology in the Public Administration (BAES).

Prior to the meetings an extraordinary conference will be held, where the technical aspects about the uses of this technology in terms of nodes will be discussed.

One of the people in charge of this project, Ramón Martínez, indicated that at least 70 people will participate in these conferences.

“Each person who was registered was assigned a token. At the entrance to the event, the tokens will be returned to the organization via QR code, at which time a certificate of attendance will be generated in .pdf format with a long-life qualified digital signature, which will be stored in the blockchain network as an asset and will be transferred to each assistant,” said Martínez.

For its part, the director of the BAES Group, Carmen Pastor, said that this is the “first time that a public university uses blockchain technology in a practical and free of charge among those attending a day.”
