United Kingdom launches its own Tourist Quality seal

Several regions are getting ready for what will be the return to tourism activities in different areas of Europe, after having overcome the highest peak of the coronavirus

VisitEngland, in collaboration with the national tourism organizations of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, has released this Friday its Tourism Quality Seal to offer consumers confidence in the face of a return to tourism activities.

In addition, England has just announced that Spain is one of the destinations with reduced risk to public health with which it will eliminate the quarantine from next July 10.

The We’re Good To Go seal means that the different businesses in the British tourism industry can demonstrate that they are adhering to the recommendations of their respective governments and health authorities, that they have developed a risk audit against COVID-19 and that have carried out the different processes required.

The program is free and welcomes the entire British tourism industry. More than 13,000 businesses have joined since it launched on June 24.

“We would like to convey a message of consumer confidence so that you can have a wonderful British holiday this summer and know that you can do it safely”, said Tourism Minister Nigel Huddleston.

Companies must complete a self-assessment through the online platform, including a checklist confirming that they have implemented the necessary processes before receiving the We’re Good To Go certification to exhibit at their facilities and in their online platforms.

Businesses across the UK are evaluated according to their respective national recommendations, including physical distancing and cleaning protocols to be implemented.
