Uber inaugurates call service in the app

The Product manager Gagan Mac revealed that the application included Voice over IP so that users and drivers can communicate with each other without leaving the app

Uber Product Manager, Gagan Mac, announced the integration of Voice over IP (VoIP) call service to the transport service application.

“The data call is now much cheaper than traditional voice calls in certain markets, the data is much cheaper,” Mac said.

This technology consists of making calls within the application, something that has become very common in applications such as WhatsApp.

Before, when problems arose, users claimed it was difficult to solve it since it was necessary to leave the application to be able to contact the driver.

Now, the call can be made within the application itself thanks to VoIP. The update is available from this Friday, October 19th.
