Tymoshenko calls for combating corruption with blockchain technology

The former prime minister of Ukraine said that the best way to end this activity is through the use of this system

Former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko recently said that the best way to fight corruption is through blockchain technology.

This was indicated by Tymoshenko during the International Day against Corruption, adding that today’s Ukraine is under a wave of “total corruption”.

In order to end this activity, the former president explained that blockchain technology can be an effective tool for public administration.

Among other measures, she also promised to protect the country’s courts from the influence of politicians, demanding that officials accept bribes and end monopolies.

“Blockchain is a perfect technology against corruption, and it has already been demonstrated internationally. To eliminate corruption in public records and protect the personal information of each citizen, we must transfer all systems of administration to a blockchain,” explained Timoshenko.

Tymoshenko was in charge of Ukraine for the first time in 2005 and later between 2007 and 2010. In June of this year, she announced her candidacy to become Ukraine’s president in the upcoming elections.
