Twitter will allow editing messages after being published

The CEO of the company indicated that users will be granted a grace period of 30 seconds maximum for the edition of the writings that will be sent as tweets

Jack Dorsey, CEO of the social network Twitter announced that soon will be added the option to edit messages after they have been sent.

This is an option that had been requested by users for many years; including celebrities joined at the time to such requests.

The main idea of Twitter is to give users a few seconds of grace so that a problem with the writing can be changed after launching the message.

The CEO of the social network said he does not want that grace period to exceed 30 seconds, given that the real-time nature of the social network could be lost in case more minutes are added.

Dorsey states that Twitter emerged as a new way of understanding SMS. Hence ,the limit is 140 characters, in addition to that SMS can not be edited once sent.
