Twitch, the platform for online digital streaming, currently ranked 33rd in the world, has just announced that it will allow its users to receive tips and payments in Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and Bitcoin Cash.
At the moment they are incorporating the properties to the platform in order to achieve optimum performance, so they have asked users to test them. After the testing will result proposals and recommendations for the final implementation.
The company representatives have indicated that they are considering to add other cryptocurrencies to the tip and balance payment system by linking their Streamlabs accounts to Coinbases without the obligation to pay additional charges.
As a precedent to Twitch’s recent news was known the ChangeTip service, which allowed the users to obtain Bitcoin through the chat by clicking a button on the company logo. Another modality was provided by Coinbase so that customers could accept balances in BTC.
Currently, the beta version that was launched at the beginning of the year has a 15% support of the transmissions in the live video platform followed by thousands of users around the world.
