The President of the United States, Donald Trump, announced that his team is already working on the transition process to hand over command of the country.
The president, who so far has not recognized Joe Biden’s victory in the presidential elections, began to show airs of acceptance of his electoral defeat.
This is how Trump instructed Emily Murphy of the General Services Administration (GSA) to begin with everything that this process involves.
“I recommend that Emily and her team do whatever is necessary regarding the initial protocols, and I have told my team to do the same,” said the Republican.
For his part, Biden welcomed Trump’s decision to recommend that the authorities initiate protocols aimed at undertaking a “peaceful transfer of power”, advanced by the outgoing president on Twitter.
