The PS2 stands as the most sold in history
The Sony console leads this list with some 158 million units sold, followed by the Nintendo DS and the GameBoy
This year it is expected that two of the most important companies in terms of video games will surprise the world again with the successors of the Playstation 4 and the Xbox One.
While this happens it is worth analyzing the list of the best selling consoles in the world, whose list is being led by the Sony PlayStation 2 with 158 million units sold.
In this list also stand out two of the portable consoles of the Nintendo company as the Nintendo DS with 154.02 million units and the GameBoy with 118.69 million units sold.
The original PlayStation, launched in 1994, and the Nintendo Wii are also very close to each other with 104 million units and 102 million units respectively.
Behind this exercise of creativity, which helped mass and conquer another type of audience, is the PlayStation 4 (96.8 million) and its predecessor, the PlayStation 3 (87 million). Finally, after all these gaming giants we find Xbox 360 with 86 million units sold.
