This Thursday, the Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro announced that the national cryptocurrency called Petro will be available from October 1st for international trade.
The statement was made through a message transmitted by the media, in which the national leader addressed the economic issue of Venezuela.
“The Petro takes the street as an exchange currency of purchase and world convertible currencies”, said Maduro.
On the other hand, he announced that in a few days the Venezuelan government will provide more details regarding the final course that Petro will take, and then what will be the next stages of development.
The Petro cryptocurrency is part of the Economic Recovery Plan launched by the Venezuelan president to reverse the current situation of the Latin American nation.
