Sunibox, the solar formula for portable power generation

The autonomous device acts as an uninterrupted generator of electricity from a non-polluting solar source, using a 100% renewable resource

GMF, the company from the Toledo town of Villacañas (Spain), presented to the public “Suninbox“, an innovative project with which it is committed to the research and development of technological solutions in the field of photovoltaic solar energy.

The initiative was born with the objective of maintaining the company in a market niche that comprehensively covers most sectors of the economy, as well as being a social component in development cooperation.

The “Suninbox”, which was developed together with Solar Box within the European Union program, Horizon 2020, is an autonomous device that acts as an uninterrupted generator of electricity from a solar source, non-polluting and without emissions, using a 100 percent renewable resource and allowing the continuous self-supply of electrical energy disconnected from the network.

This allows to create intelligent networks connecting disintegrated units or integrate into other existing networks. The main novelty lies in its easy portability thanks to the fact that all the mechanisms are integrated in a metallic box and the connection and disconnection is made in a few minutes.

Personalities such as the mayor of Villacañas, Santiago García Aranda, highlighted the value of local companies such as GFM, as well as others from diverse sectors, which place the municipality and the region “at the forefront of innovation”.

“GFM is an example of the application of intelligence and innovation to the productive economy, and it is also a company that as well applies intelligence to the field of solidarity and development cooperation in those countries that need it most,” he said. García Aranda.
