Sunacrip establishes electricity rates for mining

The National Superintendence of Cryptoactives, together with the National Electricity Corporation of Venezuela (Corpoelec), defined what the costs will be to carry out this activity

This week the National Superintendency of Cryptoactives (Sunacrip) and the National Electricity Corporation of Venezuela (Corpoelec) defined the parameters for cryptocurrency mining in the country.

The Framework Agreement for Inter-institutional Cooperation establishes the rates to be charged in terms of electricity consumption, in order to carry out this activity.

The signing of this agreement was in the hands of the minister of electricity, Néstor Reverol, and the superintendent Joselit Ramírez.

Sunacrip set a period of 60 days for the interested parties to register in the Comprehensive Mining Registry (RIM) “complying with all the protocols legally.” This process is carried out directly on the website of the superintendency.
