Spartan Protocol suffers theft of 30 million dollars

The Binance Smart Chain project suffered a hack of its platform that caused losses in cryptocurrencies

Various media outlets reported that the Binance Smart Chain project, Spartan Protocol, suffered a $ 30 million theft on its platform.

This theft was carried out through a hack, where the decentralized liquidity tool left a flaw within the reach of hackers where a faulty calculation of the liquidity quota occurred.

The process was carried out through the artificial infiltration of the asset balance of the SPARTA/WBNB pool. After this, the same number of tokens would have been burned in order to claim the stolen assets.

The Spartan project team tweeted about the data known at the time. The attackers would have used BNB tokens worth 61 million obtained in a flash loan. With this they obtained the necessary funds for the operation. The Sparta token plummeted 30 % in a short period of time.
