Spanish National Guard launches cryptocurrency for cybersecurity competition

The security body has just launched a cryptocurrency as a way for the university competition that aims to hire cybersecurity talents in Spain

The Spanish National Guard recently announced the creation of a digital currency as a mechanism to receive rewards during the Alliance of the National Network, within the framework of the Spanish inter-university competition that seeks to hire new cybersecurity talents in the country.

The competition starts in September and will end in November. After meeting the challenges of the contest, the winner between the two teams will win a 15-day Chinese study tour. In addition, the individual winner “will be invited to participate in the national team of young IT security talent that will participate in the European Cyber ​​Security Challenge.”

Even the Spanish National Guard has not revealed details about the cryptocurrency, they have indicated: “The winning team will be rewarded with the cryptocurrency that we created, especially the National Network Alliance: tricoin, we will briefly explain the mechanism for using the rewards.”

The decision is a sign of the interest of the Spanish authorities in blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies and related issues. In this regard, they announced a “technical project competition that could choose government funding.”
