Spain analyzes the creation of a specialized court of new technologies

The intention is to create a team specialized in blockchain based on some models of Comparative Law

This May 7, the session “Blockchain and Administration of Justice” was held, an event organized by Blockchain Intelligence and the General Council of Spanish Lawyers, as reported by the body.

Within the context of the meeting, topics were discussed that will serve as the basis for the creation of specialized courts in new technologies. Some examples are the organization of the professional practice of lawyers, ensuring the prestige of the profession, requiring the Layer Associations and their members to comply with professional and deontological duties, and working to achieve a more agile, modern and effective justice.

At that time, and in the presence of 282 attendees, Judge Yolanda Ríos discussed “the probative value of the information registered in a blockchain in the civil procedure, both in public and private documents and expert evidence.”

In the field of Justice, the protection of business secrecy and the blockchain in the Protocol of the Commercial Courts of Barcelona is one of the key aspects for the future.

The holding of meetings of capital companies and the adoption of agreements on the blockchain are also aspects that will be taken into account in the possible creation of courts specialized in new technologies.
