South Korean university will launch blockchain courses

The Korean Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) is working to incorporate a set of courses related to the different applications of blockchain technology

KAIST University works closely with Theta Labs and has announced that it will partner with two of the leading media companies in South Korea, namely Maekyung Media Group and CJ Hello, to expand its decentralized video streaming services.

The two firms understand the benefits of the inclusion of new technologies for the business of these times and have been very receptive in terms of their adoption.

The institute will start a student club focused on the Theta project, where students will be working to start building applications in Theta’s open source blockchain along with the engineering team.

The case of the KAIST university is the latest case in a large list of institutes that have decided to include chairs to train professionals in blockchain technology, such as MIT and the University of Edinburgh and even on cryptocurrencies, whether in the undergraduate area or postgraduate.
