Seca Cup 2023 culminated by demonstrating a high level of competitiveness and quality of football

Young athletes from 25 academies represented Caracas and the states of Monagas, Mérida, Anzoátegui, Yaracuy, Aragua, Nueva Esparta, Falcón, Lara and Carabobo

The Naguanagua Sport Park was the scene of epic duels in the finals of the Seca Cup 2023 national tournament, organized by the Secasports Minor Soccer School with the purpose of promoting the development of grassroots soccer in the country.

The Academia Euroamericana (AEF), from Caracas, and the Secasports School, from Carabobo, materialized the first match played, who kept the score 0-0 in the first half. In the second half, AEF’s Samuel Montilla scored the goal that gave his team the lead, and a few minutes later Yosber Acevedo broke the net to seal the match 2-0 in favor of the capitalists, who were crowned Champions of La Seca Cup 2023 category 2015.

The athletes from the Elite Soccer academy, from Mérida, and AEF starred in an electrifying match to define the winner of the 2014 category. Both teams defended their shields with great determination and in a penalty shootout, the Merideños defeated those from the capital 3- 1, staying with the title of Champions.

The Secasports School and AEF faced each other again in the 2013 category and staged an extraordinary match, where the little ones demonstrated their skills with the ball and skills on the field. Adrián Acosta, Aarón Peralta, Sebastián Pineda and Santiago González from the Euroamerican Academy scored the 4 goals to obtain the victory, while Luciano Arcila and Matías Martínez scored 2 goals for Secasports.

In the 2012 category, the children of Secasports and the Luso Larense Academy, from Barquisimeto, played the championship in a heated match that ended 2-0 in favor of the Carabobeños with goals from Santiago Álvarez and Juan Ojeda; while after a 1-1 tie, the 2011 category was defined with a penalty shootout between Fratelsa (Caracas) and C10 from Mérida, the team from the Venezuelan capital being the winner, keeping the title.

The teams of Caracas FC and Fratelsa met in the Grand Final of the tournament, demonstrating a high level of competitiveness and quality of soccer on the pitch. Those from Caracas FC prevailed against their rival 4-0, keeping the title. Yehider Lara (2), Carlos Guerra and Alessandro Fernándes scored.

Essence of life: live more reality and leave virtuality

Sebastián Cano, founder of the school, thanked the athletes, parents and academies who came from different regions of the country to participate in this tournament “which fills us with great pride, because it is a sample of the joint work that we are carrying out, carrying out, to promote values ​​such as discipline, respect and responsibility in hundreds of children who dream of being soccer players and representing Venezuela, as our Josef Martínez has done, among others”. He urged athletes to have discipline on and off the court and to leave virtuality (games and electronic devices) and live more in reality, sharing with family and friends, because that is the essence of life.

Athletes from Dynamo Margarita, C10 de Mérida, Fratelsa, Casa Portuguesa Aragua, Casa Italia Maracay, Caracas FC, AFI Jesús Clemant, Puma Caraballo FC Soccer School, Anzoátegui Elites, Euroamerican Academy, Country Club participated in this third edition of the competition. Barquisimeto, Kairos Sports Club, Merida Elites Soccer, Unión Atlético Falcón, Trinidad FC, Antonio Mejías Junior Soccer School, Luso Larense, Academia Rey and Héroes de Falcón, as well as the regional Carabobo FC, Semillero Vinotinto, Hermandad Gallega de Valencia, Soccer Evolution, Centro Social Ítalo Venezolano and Gol Vinotinto, all from Caracas and the states of Monagas, Mérida, Anzoátegui, Yaracuy, Aragua, Nueva Esparta, Falcón, Lara, as well as Carabobo, headquarters of the Cup.
